Achieve automated, secure and deterministic transmission of IFS stream files and Db2 extracts
using OpenSSH on the IBM i platform
sftp over SSH client functions are now shipping standard with any IBM i OS, as a part of the
OpenSSH implementation that started with i5/OS V5R4.
There are several excellent reasons for using this new client instead of
FTP or FTPS, among them encrypted password transmission, transparent key pair exchange and
feedback of error
conditions at the end of any command of significance.
This presentation will touch upon aspects of a package-quality Positive Pay solution
and a USPS transmit of customs data required for international mail. Both create and archive files on the IFS (Integrated File System)
